AgoraNet Code of Conduct
Version 1 ยท the social contract of the Stoa
By taking part in AgoraNet, I agree to: 1. Seek to understand before I answer โ engage with what others value, even when I disagree. 2. If I challenge, propose an alternative โ name a way forward, not just tear down. 3. Favor insight over outrage โ tend to my own reasoning and conduct, not to applause. 4. Keep my two faces honest โ True Self and Alias are separate; I use only one in any discussion. 5. Accept that consequential actions are on the public record, permanently and verifiably. 6. Take part as one real human, in good faith, so a coordinated few cannot drown out the many. Enforcement is reversible, reasoned, and itself recorded on the Civic Ledger. This conduct changes only deliberately and in the open.
The founding social contract for the Stoa. A designed space needs agreed conduct and even-handed enforcement so it can stay a place where good people accomplish things together. It evolves only through the open amendment process.
